Class sizes are around 15 - 30, depending on the course. We ensure each student is given individual attention and guidance.
 top
Can I attend if I have never done this sort of thing before
Absolutely! Our programs are non discriminatory and we encourage persons who have no medical experience to come and learn new and exciting skills. Courses are designed with a large percentage of demonstration and interactive hands-on learning.
 top
Will I be bored if I have extensive medical background
No. If you are attending the pathology collection or ECG workshop then you are learning about these topics and not stuff you already know. For those who have medical experience you will probably find that you absorb some of the information quicker than the rest of the class. We encourage those who have the benefit of extra knowledge to assist those who don\'t.
Remember to enquire about RPL or Recognition if you think you already possess the relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

I have sustained an injury, is this course going to be suitable
We have always been retraining members from the health care industry that, unfortunately have sustained work injuries. Many health care workers decide to join the pathology industry as a side step from nursing, as the job load is a lot lighter and less strenuous. So yes our courses are suitable for those that have existing injuries.
You should consult your Dr or rehabilitation coordinator about the type of work you are able to do before booking into one of our courses.

What do I get at the end of the course

On successful completion of the course students will receive either a Certificate or Statement of Attainment for Accredited qualifications or competencies completed. A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded for non accredited programs. This may be presented to any future employer. We will also be happy to assist wherever possible with verbal recommendations.
