Prerequisites

Most of our Certificate III courses do not require students to have any other qualifications or experience. You do not need a high school certificate, however all students must have the adequate basic English literacy and numeracy skills.

Successful completion of Certificate III in English for Employment or Certificate III in English for Further Study from TAFE or IELTS 5.0 (and above) should give you the necessary English literacy skills to undertake a Certificate III course. If you are unsure of your English skills you can download and complete the English Assessment or contact our office and ask to complete our English Assessment.

Students looking at studying higher qualifications like Certificate IV in Aged Care should have good written and spoken English skills. At this level it is expected that students are able to complete assignments using a variety of different media and read through workbooks and resource material. There is an entrance test that students must sit before enrolling into the Cert IV in Aged Care.
